He has worked for almost 15 years at Sol Meliá; he began back in 1998 as the marketing director and as a web developer for the hotel industry in Cuba. With the passing of time and the evolution of the web, Marco’s roles have also changed: in fact, since 2011, he has assumed the management of the social media platforms.
Meliá Hotels International, founded by Gabriel Escarrer Juliá in 1956 in Palma de Mallorca (Spain), is the third largest hotel chain in Europe and the twelfth largest in the world. Currently, there are more than 300 hotels in 30 countries, spread throughout 4 continents, and the agency has a workforce of over 35,000 employees.
An element that Marco considers to be very important is keeping track of the guests during their travels, engaging in conversation with them. With a series of original campaigns carried out through the various social platforms, Sol Meliá has realized the ability to maintain and to manage conversations with its clients through social media.
