Having obtained his degree in Jurisprudence at the Università degli Studi di Bari, Gianpiero has collaborated with the Istituto di Filosofia del Diritto e Dottrina dello Stato of the Facoltà di Giurisprudenza di Teramo, as an enthusiast of the subject.
An expert on local development, he designed and created new-concept museums and innovative cultural communication projects. Gianpiero deals in economic planning and socio-economic research, and in local planning and development programs for the improvement of cultural patrimony, and on programs of tourism development for public, transnational and private organizations.
He has collaborated with Carlo Rambaldi (a three-time Oscar winner) on the design and creation of cultural patrimony development initiatives, such as the event “Mille Italie Una Patria” in honor of the reopening of the Vittoriano in Rome.
Since 2006, Gianpiero has been the General Director of the Agenzia di Promozione Territoriale of Basilicata.
Recently, Basilicata took part in the Can’t Forget It {aly} project, created by Mikaela Bandini (also a guest of BTO); seven young video artists and bloggers from around the world were involved, having been chosen from a public competition. They produced videos and took photos during seven days visiting the Basilicata region.
