Katz holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and is an avid traveler, having visited over 50 countries worldwide.

He has worked for MySpace, launching the social network site in 30 different countries, contributing greatly to the number of users.
He has also worked for IGN, Rotten Tomatoes and other companies in the Fox Interactive Media family, which Travis co-founded. He worked for the World Bank for four years.

More recently Katz co-founded Gogobot with Ori Zaltzman. Rolled out in 2010, it was named one of TIME Magazine’s 50 best websites in 2011. Gogobot facilitates online trip planning on the part of the users based on judgments and opinions of friends, not strangers, for a better overall travel planning and sharing.

He loves playing the guitar, drinking good wine and spending as much time as he can with his wirfe and his two children. His favorite city in the world is in Italy: Rome!
